has new battery and still will not start

I have a 2007 chevrolet avalanche ltz. I notice my
battery was bad and replaced it. Now It will not
start.  Everything will light up and operate except
for the door locks and starting the engine.

sounds like an issue with the security system. Most systems would reset if you lock and unlock the driver door manually with the key, This helps sometimes. It could be your starter I've had a problem where it didn't want to kick on.
