Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Searched for: My 2007 G35 A/V module has been diagnosed as being the problem. My entire center console is non-operational. The logo on the touch screen just stays there. None of the controls on the middle console work. I was shown that the module costs over $5K from the Dealer / OEM Part. The car is barely worth that. They upgraded the software, then identified the AV module as the problem.   What options are out there specifically for the repair / replacement of the AV module?  How much can I expect to pay?

Perhaps do some searching at salvage yards nearby. I thought you were nuts stating the price for the part was $5,000, I just looked up the part online and it is $5202.64. That price is ridiculous. Look at the link I provided as it may be an option.. ..http://www.hitechserv.com/electronics-repair/oem-navigation-dvd- cd-changer-repair/75

XW Electronic Company's John Huang. His company is in El Monte and he has an EBay site as well. Phone # 626-454-1645. They will fox both the stereo and climate system. I don't know the cost but it will be in the hundreds as opposed to thousands. Good luck.
