I have a 2007 grand prix gt and my thermostat keeps reading very high then my computer screen sayes a/c off for engine protection and sometimes thermostat gets really high car sayes hot coolant ??
Please help!!!
Forgot to mention car is never hot when I check engine it's warm I can't drive 10 mins or more before this happenes
Possibly a stuck thermostat, it's inexpensive, just replace it.
Agree. Or, if you've changed coolant recently then possibly air trapped in the system.
When it does it i pull over and hear a bubbling sound so it's probably is air in there I did have it replaced recently
You need to bleed that air out of the system to get it cooling properly. It's a bit tricky to do on newer cars. Shops that specialize in cooling system service have special vacuum equipment for doing the job properly. Sometimes a few dollars spent getting it done professionally pay off in the end.
Not sure about the 2007 but the earlier V6 motors had an air bleed screw for the cooling system on the front left side of the motor
