i just bought a 2007 grand prix gt. when i warm the car up, a puddle of water (not huge) forms on the pavement under each of the mufflers. is this a bad thing? and what is causing it?

Normal operation of the catalytic converters, converts the green house gasses to water. You are seeing this water drain from the drain holes on the muffler to keep them from rotting from the inside out because of this chemical reaction.
