Can I use 235 50 17 tires on Suzuki xl7  I currently have 235 60 17

Thanks however I have 235 60 17 summer tires on and I wanted to get the 235 50 17 summer tires because the other ones ,look to big because I have winter tires 235 60 16 - I thought that if the tire was lower and the load index was a little higher that it would be ok - what do you think?
