Oil got doubled and trans fluid emptied. I did start and drive it,but didn't get far. Fixed that. Then 2-3 wks later ran it out of oil, refilled it then it made a valve rattling noise and wouldn't pull

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Please Help!! I don't want to have to
replace the engine for a spun bearing,
hoping its a valve stuck or something
simple and cheap. I'm a single mother
of 3 and we really need our
transportation. If you know any
solutions please let me know. Thank
you in advance.

Try adding some Lucas Engine Oil Stabilizer to oil. Had an engine that had a very bad valve tap and after changing oil and adding this engine stopped tapping after letting run for about 30 - 45 minutes. No promises but its worth a try.

If you ran the engine out of oil there may be serious damage and a replacement engine or car may be in your future. How is it that you ran the engine out of oil in 2 weeks? Does it have a serious leak?

I thought since the oil was doubled it possibly blew a seal since it had no place to go. It never blew any smoke and never left oil as if it leaked under it while parked.
