How do I fold the seats down to get access to the 3rd seating?

Asked by jeffm72 Feb 24, 2008 at 01:24 PM about the 2007 Nissan Armada SE 4WD

Question type: General

I just purchased a used 2007 Nissan Armada SE and I'm trying to figure out how to fold the 2nd row seating down to get access to the 3rd row?  I can get the seats to fold down flat but the way that I have them you would literally have to step over the seat to get to the 3rd row.  It shows in the owners manual and on the inside door that the seats should completely fold away for easy access.  I tried all morning but can't see to figure it out?

I would stop by a Nissan dealer and ask a salesman to show you. It's probably something simple, but I know it can be confusing. Not sure how the Nissan seats work particularly.

i have a 2008 Nissan Armada SE, i dont know how different the 07 is from the 08. On mine there is a handle on the top of the seat near the headrest on the 2nd row seat, if you pull that it should fold forward. but like i said, yours is a 2007 and mine is a 2008 it might be different

REALLY simple.. Reach behind either outer 2nd row seat, just below the headrest, and you'll find a catch set into the rear of the seat. Lift it up and out while pulling the seat forward QUICKLY, and the seat will fold AND lift at the same time leaving a walk-in space into the 3rd row.

Pull the center seat strap at cushion area that's anchored to a hidden release. Then follow the illustration.
