Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car has just about everything new and yet it will not start. NEW starter
new alternator ,new fuel pump, new battery new fuel regulator, new ignition
switch, AND OTHER THINGS. Yet the car continues to do the same thing. at
times it starts on first try. Others it clicks once. The after 5 tow ten times
turning key it starts. It never just dies after its being driven. What in the world
could be wrong. I have spend over 3,000. Can some one help

A car that old probably has wiring problems that come with age , worn wires from opening doors or moisture , mice can invade even a daily driver and chew on wires , Sounds like you've been taking it to crap shoot mechanics that don't know enough to test things before replacing them , the problems have to be diagnosed when they occur

Sounds like a bad battery cable connection. When it refuses to start does everything go dead when you turn the ignition key? If so that definitely points to a bad connection at the battery. On a side note, don't spend any more money on this vehicle. It's not worth what you have already put into it. If cleaning and tightening the battery cable connections doesn't fix it cut your losses and move on! Hope that helps! Jim
