2007 Grand Caravan 3.8 Died While Driving

Asked by Michael Feb 06, 2017 at 08:10 PM about the 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

We have a 2007 Grand Caravan 3.8L. Earlier today I was driving and the van
just died. I did not notice any stutter or stall at all. I Have noticed that it has
had a slight rough idle the last month or so., but nothing else.

Oil levels are good, no over heating. When it died, oil light came on, it went
into a coast. I did not check the oil after (slipped my mind), but I checked it
last week and there are no leaks. When I tried to restart, tried to turn over, but
would not actually start. When it was trying to turn over, it sounded kind of
rough. Still have full power throughout the van.

Recent Repairs:
Plugs (OEM installed; 2 months ago)
EGR Valve (4 months ago)
Ignition Coils and wires (12 months ago)
Alternator and Battery (12 months ago)

Any input would be appreciated.
