2007 dodge durango 4wd knob

I am getting ready to purchase a 2007 dodge durango slt.  It has a 4WD knob
that says 4WD, 4WD LOCK and 4WD LOW.  Is this vehicle in 2WD, AWD or
4WD at all times?  Thanks.

It will always be in one unless you have neutral setting for the transfer case. Use 2WD normally and never use 4WD on dry pavement.

Here is a picture of the knob. So, is the setting of 4WD the same as AWD? I see there is
