how hard of a job is this?

Asked by Joe Jan 09, 2014 at 04:56 PM about the 1997 Chrysler Town & Country LX LWB AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

i have a 1997 chrysler town & country AWD that will not move. just wondering if it could
be that the transfer case needs to be rebuilt/replaced or if the CV axles would be the
problem. it has the 3.8L.

it starts ? it goes in gear? trans fluids ok? not likely c/v joints in any case

hmm. ok. well i know that when cv's do go there is no movement of the vehicle. so, thats why i was thinking CV or the transfer case for the AWD.
