Hot engine has trouble restarting

Asked by Z24help Oct 11, 2019 at 10:18 PM about the 1994 Chevrolet Cavalier Z24 Convertible FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

After driving my car for a while then shutting it off
the engine periodically has trouble starting. It turns
over and starts briefly and then dies unless I keep
my foot on the accelerator to keep the RPM's
going. What is my problem

1 Answer

Possible fuel vaporization problem. Is the engine running hotter than normal? If you have electric radiator fans, are they working?
