Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hello, I have a 2006 Buick Lucerne Cxl v6 &
recently it's been jumping as I push the gas pedal.
If I'm at a red light and it's my turn to go, I push the
gas pedal and my car will do a quick jump of some
sort and it feels as if the car drags or gets stuck
(I'm guessing) then it will pick up speed. All this
within 3-5 seconds. I'm wondering what it might be,
if anyone knows. Please & thank you.

I think that car has a electronic accelerator ....the gas pedal is connected to a "black box" and it feeds the signal to the engine. your problem could be either at the accelerator or on the engine where the butterfly is, you might try spraying both controls with electronic cleaner.....or you may need to determine which one is acting up and replace it.
