My 06Subaru recently started making an odd noise
last week,its off&on,not consistant,doesn't sound
like a rod or lifter,but I think from past vehicle
experiences,it's a fuel related issue,but not sure....I
checked all the fluids,topped them off(it was about
a quart low on oil),I also filled the gas tank&used
an additive to assist with fuel system cleaning,ran
fine for awhile, then started making the noise again
off&on,a short time later the Cruise,check
engine,ABS&traction control assist all began to
flash.I went straight home&parked it to avoid
further damages.I've done research on the
issue&found some say it could be the EGR valve
being clogged,but I'm not sure where to begin.I
have an appointment for an oil&filter change&the
valve to be cleaned,but am stuck,scared to drive it!
Anyone have issues similar,if so what was the
issue&the out come?PLEASE HELP!
I'm desperately in need of using my vehicle this
weekend.
