What is the problem with your security system? You have the VATS security system. A no crank situation is going to be the ignition lock cylinder. There's two tiny wires inside of the lock cylinder that must contact the chip on the ignition key. Over time these wires break off and don't make contact anymore. So the computer thinks it's being stolen by someone trying to start the engine without a key! When you buy a new ignition lock cylinder it will come with a template for cutting new VATS keys. The template will not start the engine. You need to know which VATS key you have. To determine this, measure the resistance value of the chip on the ignition key and compare the resistance value you have to the chart below. Then buy the correct VATS key blank and have them cut using the template that came with the new lock cylinder. If you're having other problems with the VATS system, let me know and I can help. I'm very familiar with the system thanks to my 94 Fleetwood! Hope that helps! Jim
