Lost Power

Driving along highway when the engine just stopped and I had no power.No
overheating or funny noises just like someone had turned off the ignition. Tried
restarting but would turn over with no ignition. Was a smell of burning or heat.

You may have popped a t-belt. If the battery cranks the motor and the belt is broken the cam sensors won't see rotating cams, and thus don't tell the ECM to squirt fuel. Easiest way to confirm is to just remove/loosen the left front t-belt plastic cover and check the belt. Takes just one minute with a 10mm wrench. If you've popped the belt you've PROBABLY bent a valve, so do NOT replace the belt before checking compression or otherwise determining proper valve operation. Good luck.
