The cars open door light keeps coming on

This could be read many ways since it's a tad vague Audrey.. TS read it that way and I read it as, your doors are shut but the light comes on? Can you clarify?

The switch on the door may be defective or need adjustment.

Add a piece of tape to the DOOR surface that pushes the door switch so it's depressed a bit more. If no go remove the switch and clean its contacts or replace. Easy.
