forester oil leak

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

2006 forester 2.5 non turbo. two issues. one is the engine was rebuilt from
bottom up. once started it will die in like two seconds and faster if you try to
give it gas. second issue is that there appears to be a bad oil leak but whats
wierd is its on top of motor. i checked the oil sending switch under alt, not a
drop on it completly dry. also i keep hearing people say p.w streering pump.
now i know the difference between p.w steering fluid and oil believe me its
oil. i cant find the source of the leak though. compression and leak down
tests were both good. brand new head gaskets, hell brand new everything.
only thing is once it was rebuilt it sat for about five months before it was
attempted to be started. i was away for abit. im wondering if sitting that long
with all those brand new gaskets and seals without being ran has caused
some issues. but as i said i cant find the leak of source. if anyone has ideas
or answers please leave them so i might get this thing fixed. thanks yall
