I bought a 2007 trailblazer with 145000 miles, that I seen on your website , from Glenwood springs ford in CO. In September . 4wd I took it in for some service and was informed that the 4wd is inoperable. Do I have any recourse with the dealer

Did you inform the dealer and if so what did they say? If you can prove it did not work when you bought it then you might have a claim but coming in 2 or 3 months later won't help your case. Did you get a warranty with it? Did they provide an inspection report?

I am full of regrets. Quite frankly the first "4wd" I ever owned had no reason to check it . I trusted the dealer . Shame on me. No warranty. They did provide an inspection report but claims it was just for safety issues

Did the mechanic say what was wrong with the 4wd?

Unfortunately you may be SOL. I know, hindsight is 20/20 but let's clarify: it is AWD or 4X4? Is there a shifter to put it in 4X4?

And good question ... did they say what was wrong?

I'm leaning toward the SOL also mechanic doesn't know said they need to take apart the transfer case to see what wrong. 1000 labor

Oh, man, you got the shaft, no pun intended. This is not funny. Only thing I can think of is this a used car lot or a manufacturers dealer? Find the owner, or sometimes the owners son/daughter that has been put in charge, which often happens at big dealerships -- and be polite, but FIRM and tell him that you were sold a defective vehicle that what you paid for is not what you bargained for. A working 4X4. I sincerely wish you best of luck. ~~David

I might lean towards installing a used or rebuilt transfer case.
