2007 Chevy Trailblazer will not shut off

The key went into the ignition and turned over just
fine when we got to our destination and attempted
to turn the truck off it would not rock backwards
goes forward a little but does not make that noise
as if it's trying to crank the car up again the key will
come out but we cannot get the car to shut off
does anyone have any advice

2007 chevy blazer new battery new starter it sound like it wants yo start but it wouldn't maybe it's the Ignition has to be changed? Helpp
