Over revving after 30 mph

Asked by Redfisher100 Dec 09, 2018 at 04:35 PM about the 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe LTZ RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2007 Chevy Tahoe LTZ. Out of the blue
the engine started over revving at 30 mph and still
does. It idles fine and takes of fine. At the same
time my oil pressure was bad. Thought the revving
was some kind of safety action to keep the engine
from blowing up. Changed oil and filter now my oil
pressure is fine but the engine still over revs after
30 mph. Any ideas?
