I have a 2007 ford 500 and my battery is not getting a charge. If I jump my car it will start and even if you unhook the battery the car will continue to run and not die?

Sounds like a battery with a dead cell. Batteries will function just fine with the help of the alternator, but if it has a dead cell it will work if jumped... But won't accept a charge... And just for future reference, it's not a good idea to take the cables off the battery while the car is running in the modern vehicles. It's possible to have a voltage spike and fry components, including the computer and alternator.
