My 95 tahoe hesitates and sputters at 1200-1500 rpm...any ideas?

This may be a fuel pump early failure. check pressure under load. Should lean out at Highway speeds and cough and sputter. Also check for lose or broken wires to the spark plugs or any area which has high vibration. Might check at night to see if any high voltage leaking from the spark plugs wires. Sound more like gas starvation. Have you checked the fuel filter? Pull off the distributor cap to and check for erode spark or connection at the distributor cap.
