i have 1995 saturn sl1. a week ago the belt broke so i replaced it.it started running hot w/water coming out reservoir like it wasnt circulating. took out thermostat and did not replace.no change! 3 Answers
i also replaced waterpump and again,no change! i also replaced the reservoir cap.no change! so, a new belt,waterpump and reservoir cap but didnt replace thermostat.STILL OVERHEATING and WATER BACKING ...

My 2002 Saturn sl1 is inconsistently over heating. The thermostat is out and it ran fine for 3 months. Then I put new coolant in at 50/50 and it started overheating. I may not have drained it properl 2 Answers
May not have drained properly, it wouldn't hold 1 gal of coolant mixture.
