Hey, I have 93 saturn sl2 that i just bought out of pure need of a cheap car fast. He said it has a turbo on a rebuit engine 50,000 miles ago, but when I hit the brakes and slow down, the rpms rev themselves up when the needle hits about 2, then again when it hits about 1, then it is fine. Any idears???

1992 Saturn SC2, 123k miles. The car was bought a few months ago, and has run fine for short trips, and an occasional joy ride. About 2 weeks ago, I though I got some slug gas, and have been putting HEET, that seemed to work. The car runs great, then has trouble staying lit, and seems to lose revs to either dying, or coming damn close. Only occurs after has already had "a good run", and been turned off for a bit. I have a 1998 Saturn SL2 that the braking has for the most part gone out. I've replaced the master cylinder and bled the brakes. However when I turn on the ignition, the brakes go to the floor. When I pump to build pressure, it doesn't change anything even for a second. When I park the car, bleed the brakes again there is no air coming out (only fluid). I'm at a loss. Saturn mechanic said that it can't be the booster as they are built to last to the junk yard. 12 Answers
