How many gallons are in the reserve fuel tank?

15.7 gallon is the size of the tank...says nothing about a second tank...the last three gallons are considered "the reserve" tank...from what I understand~

my old volkswagen actually had a poor mechanical gas gauge what had two outlets on it...and a little double stripe marked "R" and on some models actually had a lever to switch it to reserve....Chevy's dual tanks like on the Camper Special 4wd are twice as much money to fill up~
