So when i start my car and begin to drive, pressing the accelerator, the RMP changes at 3,500 sometimes even at 4,000. My husband is trying to find where the transmission dipstick is and is having a very hard time locating it.

I have the same car and was having the same problem with it there is a red cap under neat the hoses between the battery and the engine on the left hand side of the car that's were you fill the transmission fluid it needs about 7 quarts, but that was not the problem on my car just as a suggestion you should check your catalytic converter that was the real problem on mine hope this help you
