Battery light

Asked by Loveless Jan 29, 2018 at 09:02 AM about the 2007 Chrysler Sebring Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I drive a Chrysler Sebring 2007 I just had the alternator
replaced and the battery is new . But the battery light is
still on . It’s bothering me so much that it still is on after
changing the alternator which was very difficult to do.
Please help.

Oh yeah. The wires to the alternator were replaced as well . And the light is still on. Everyone says it’s a ‘dummy light’ and should go off after a while , but I’m not trying to risk it lbs I just want to know why it is still on . I just want to be safe
