07 pt cruiser overheats, radiator empties into overflow but doesn't return to radiator

My 07 pt cruiser radiator empties into overflow but
I have to syphon it back into the radiator.  It
overheats within 50 miles at highway speeds, when
I check the radiator after the over heat it is about
half empty and the overflow is full to the top and
won't drain back into the radiator. The electric fans
work.  The car has a new radiator, new timing belt,
new thermostat,  hoses. Any suggestions as to
whats wrong? Car has 105k on it,  no antifreeze in
the oil visa versa. Runs great just always
overheats.

Make sure your radiator cap is sealing well and closing tightly. Your radiator needs to be able to draw/suck the fluid back in from the overflow bottle as it is cooling down. It can be sucking air back in through a faulty or poorly secured cap instead of fluid from the overflow bottle.

Same here. New thermostat, cap, fan assembly and relays. Takes forever to reach operating temp, but if I push it to heat up the radiator will empty and the reservoir is full. Help!

Same here. 06 PT Crusier. Replaced the cap yesterday. Still no change. Dealership claims to have changed the fan and thermostat. I don't know what to do. The reservoir is full as if it doesn't return. HELP
