'07 PT Cruiser, what is the cost to repair the timing belt?

check engine light just came on at about 80K miles

The replacement schedule is every 105,000 miles.

If the belt has not broken it should be well under a grand. The CEL probably has nothing to do with the belt. Why do you think it does?

Check the codes, timing belt wouldn't cause check engine light to come on.
