i have a cylinder 3 misfire code??

i have a new battery, alternator, plugs, and coils. one auto shop said i need
a new engine cuz it shakes (i paid $100 for that quote even though they
said it was free). another shop said its the compression and a different one
said i need a tune up.

this is my first car and im a senior in highcshool. i need help asap

You didn't mention new spark plug wires. They go bad too.

If engine compression has ben checked and it shows that it is low, then the engine needs to be rebuilt or replaced. No matter what kind of new ignition parts you put into it, your not going to raise the cylinder compression without rebuilding it.

Change the plug wires and also check the camshaft sensor. When mine showed a number three misfire it also showed as the camshaft sensor. Its very easy to do yourself. Takes about ten to 15 minutes.

Could just be it idling, which could mean it's either a bent valve or a stuck valve
