Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The right rear tail light is not getting power. I swapped lights and checked fuses #14, 16, 20, 26 in an attempt to see if it was an easy fix. What else can I check?

Do you have brake lights and turn signal lights on that side?? Couple things you can check. Take a close look at the socket that the bulb is in. Check for corrosion and bent terminals. Also check the wiring back from the tail light look for connectors that are pulled or that look corroded. You can also disconnect the connection and check for 12 volts, with lights on of course.

Nope, both the brake light and the signal light on that side are out. I have an old tail light that I swapped it with that I know works but it was getting no power as well. The wiring was pretty dirty but they go into the frame I am going to try and follow them sometime today. I might have to pick up a voltometer to check for the 12 volts.
