Automatic Running Boards

Asked by Brett21867 Jun 07, 2009 at 09:12 AM about the 2007 Cadillac Escalade ESV 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The Running Boards will either not come out or other times if the boards are out they will not go back in when the doors are shut. If you lock and unlock the vehicle the boards will re-engage themselves and start working correctly. Anyone had this problem?

Same problem. Dealer wants $1400 to replace board motors. This is probably a switch/computer malfunction. Unlikely replacing motors would fix.
