Are you getting a check engine light? Why do you think there is a problem with the sensor?

Yes the check engine light is on and it is a 4.3L vortex engine. It has a rough idle but it drives good until I slow down to stop then the rpms jump and it acts like it wants to cut off.

It is possible there is no crank sensor on that model. Some of the early blazers didn't have them. The pick up coil in the distributor took care of that function. Does the cruise control work? If so and it is acting weird as well, you might have a bad torque converter control solenoid. If your CEL says crank sensor then I am all wet, but some of your symptoms point to a tcc. If you can locate the tcc wire and unplug it and see if it "fixes". If so then it is the tcc.

Ok, starting from the beginning. If you haven't read the code from the check engine light, do that. Then are you up to date on the tuneups? Up to date on clean fuel filter?

ohhhhh crap, yep, if you are using an obdII scanner it won't work. 94 and 95 were transition years for obd1 and obd11 computers. gm in all of their wisdom put an obd11 scan port in an obd1 computer system. You will either have to purchase a special scanner for these years or take it to a dealer. Either way, you are going to need to read that code. It is likely the key to your problem.

V6....Front of engine below and behind the crank pulley @ the 7 O'clock position. Disconnect the wire harness. Should be a small bolt. Pull right out.
