Dear KASTMS2000-- According to www.carcomplaints.com, there are no reports of fuel pump problems with the 1996 Chevrolet Tahoe. Since you have already replaced it once, maybe your problem is not with the fuel pump. How about checking the bearings? Good luck from Bovan.

If the fuel pump is aftermarket they are noisy. I have replace both aftermarket and OEM and the OEM doesnt make to much noise.
