Trans fluid leaking into transfer case

Asked by Todem76 Nov 11, 2008 at 11:21 AM about the 1996 Chevrolet Suburban K1500 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hello. New here but not to forum life.

I have a 96 Chevy burb and am having an issue with trans fluid leaking into the transfer case causing it to be overfilled and blow oil out the seals.  It first did it only when it was cold, and now it does it all the time.  Has anyone ever had this happen?  The trans was professionally rebuit this spring and nothing was said about it.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.
