You should never work on any car without a good repair manual, and that's especially true of high-end cars. Owing a good manual shows others that you care about your car and that's a valuable asset when selling. Get a manual from Jaguar, which I would recommend, or a general manual from companies like Chilton. Make sure it's not just a basic service manual, but a detailed repair manual with electrical system coverage; with a Jag, you'll need it. Otherwise, go to Jaguar and they can run you a spec page for that only, and it will describe the proper sequence for torqueing.
