Asked by Guru9LLQGS Aug 29, 2021 at 05:45 PM about the 2006 GMC Sierra 1500 SLT Extended Cab 6.5 ft. RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Like to replace tie rod end on a 2006 GMC 1500 truck. Bit confused as to the
difference in rod ends for power gear steering and power rack and pinion
steering. Not sure what to order.

Check under your truck and see if you have a rack and pinion or parallelogram steering system.

Don't guess if you don't know what to look for - have the truck checked by someone knowledgeable.
