cranks but wont start

replaced battery a couple months ago, because the car would not start. sat in garage for a while, now cranks but will not start. tried total reset by disconnecting battery and holding + and - cables together. then reattached and still no start.

Try replacing crankshaft position sensor. Experienced the same situation with a 90's model BMW 535I. PRETTY INEXPENSIVE FIXI YOU'RE A DYI
