I bought a 96 camaro runs great and all was
noticing gunk in resivoir was going to change it but
car started to over heat and started saying check
gages. And now car cranks but wont start it
started after i flushed radiator and pipes but shut
off

Think you need to do a comprehensive test of cooling system and water jacket, with an eye toward cross contamination of oil/coolant.
