we need a cable with handle for parking brake that snapped off ..anyone know how we can replace?

understand this part fits 94,95 and 96..esate wagon or sedan.. parking brake(emergency brake works fine) just the handle cable snapped off..we have been given part no: 10273579 ..seems that may not be right but no luck so far
