Driving home, speedo was flopping around at the same time the car stopped shifting gears

The car is stuck in 2nd gear.I replaced the transmission speed sensor, no luck,check
engine light on,but can,t be scanned. I tried to reset by disconnecting batt  .now stuck in
1st gear with no check engine light on

That's an indication the vehicle's ECM (engine computer)is bad. Its located beneath the dash board and behind the glove compartment . GOOD LUCK ..SEMPER FI
