How deep was the puddle? Check to see if the air filter element got wet, if it did you may have serious engine problems such as a hydro-locked engine caused by water entering the combustion chamber. Certainly the problem could be less serious and be electrical in nature. There is no way to diagnose the problem without putting hands on the vehicle.

^^^, In addition, check to determine if any wirings/coils are cracked allowing moist to foul out the needed transformation of firing.
