Has anyone had an OIL PUMP go out on 03 Rendevous? And what did it act like?

My rendevous started making rattling noise, slightly, the just stopped, a red
flashing light came really bright saying no oil pressure, when recranking to get
off the road it was very hard cranking, putter knock and stall. no oil leaks and full
of fresh oil. Will turn over and start then die. I stopped and had it hauled home.
