Oil gauge maxed out

Got an oil change noticed my oil gauge maxes out
when I accelerate

first check oil lvl when truck is off. if that not the issue sometimes chevy truck are notorious for gauges failing. but i could be wrong.

ok if the oils over full all you have to do is drain it alittle now oil doesnt have to be full but its good to have it that way for proper lubing. also i would check for tightness of your oil filter while your down there just to be safe now for the oil filter you dont have to crank it down bc thats what the pressure is for in your engine and thus sucking the oil filter to the engine snug it down and the a quarter turn back

also 1 more thing if the gauge is reading over full then that could also result in a bad ground or sensor. I replaced my fuel pump in my tank because the sensor was bad and resulted in my truck always saying it was full
