1994 Buick Regal A/C Part Question

Asked by VegasQ May 17, 2018 at 01:55 PM about the 1994 Buick Regal Custom Coupe FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My Mom has a 1994 2 door Regal and the A/C will blow on the floor but not out
the face vents.  Anyone know of the part I need to find to fix this?  She's 86 and
in FL so she needs AC!

The first thing to check is the vacumn line to the controller. There is a vacumn line that comes off the top of the intake and goes toward the firewall. It then "T"s and one line goes along the firewall toward the passanger side, the other goes toward the driver side for the cruise. Another check....does the cruise work? If you are having problems with both the A/c and cruise it is almost always the vacumn line. If the vacumn seems to be good then the next step is the controller which is located behind the glove box....it will have several colored vacumn lines coming out and each one goes to a different valve that directs the air to different places. That may need to be replaced.
