2006 matrix steering is hard

Asked by Loki_gee Dec 14, 2018 at 07:01 PM about the 2006 Toyota Matrix XRS

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

2006 Toyota matrix XRS.steering is super stiff in the morning. After a
few minutes it loosens up and is fine. I have flushed the power steering
but still not working right. Thinking about changing the belt and pump
unless anyone here has other suggestions.

Inspect your couplings on the rack and hoses along with the condition of the belt. If one of those lines are sucking air it won't help matters. Hopefully this isn't a rack issue. Good Luck!
