Asked by GuruRJ9D May 09, 2017 at 08:31 AM about the 2006 Toyota Highlander Base

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I had my rear pads and rotors replaced. After backing up and hearing screech
from the rear tires my engine and vac lights came on. Any ideas

Immediately take it back to whoever did the brakes. The VSC light and other lights are set to come on with the check engine light. If the wrong rotor was installed or axles or wheel speed sensors were damaged during the brake job, the ABS module may not know wheel speed for damaged wheel and may be unsafe.
