Car won't start

I recently bought a 2007 Toyota Solara, and within the past 2 weeks there have
been two incidents where the car failed to start at all. Recharging the battery
seems to fix this temporarily, but I need to know if there is a larger issue.

Get the charging system load tested. Most parts stores will do this as a free service or you can take it to a shop. Load testing will check the battery, alternator, voltage regulator, and connections.
