If push "tab" on front surface of door cover, the door is supposed to open smoothly to about 45 degrees (hinge is at the bottom) and expose GPS controls - problem is that the door drags on something and does not release smoothly to the fully open position - the drag is tight enough that pulling it down by putting fingers on top edge and pulling out/down is difficult and getting worse. It's an annoyance.

yep...that would save fingers but not solve the dragging problem Any notion as to why door drags or how to remove/replace/realign it? Thanks!

replace it~...if doing so is immediately apparent (2 screws) or somthing like that...a semi-permanent adhesive tab round and attached to the back that you could pull on (like file organizer tabs) would not be TOO obtrusive~

My GPS control panel came off and drop in the back, any instruction to remove the door and reconnect the control panel?
